Reporting into the Director, Total Rewards and HRIS, the Senior Manager, Compensation will be responsible for creating best in class, value-added philosophies, and processes for all aspects of Compensation from development and refinement to execution. While we have created a great set of programs today, compensation must continue to strategically support the global objectives of attracting and retaining talent while also maximizing employee engagement. This individual needs to be strategic and logistical in operating as a process and content expert.

To be qualified for this position you:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 12+ years of overall corporate experience with 10+ years of experience focused on compensation & benefits design and management in Technology companies
  • Experience in Executive-Level communications
  • Experience with creation and delivery of training to associates and managers of people
  • Experience designing incentive compensation programs
  • Public company experience a plus
  • Extensive knowledge of US federal and state legislation influencing compensation and benefits
  • Strong experience with sales commissions and executive compensation programs
  • Financial Acumen - ability to estimate new and existing program costs as a design consideration and for budgeting and tracking purposes
  • Global experience - ability to learn best practices and manage global total rewards investments in non-US markets (currently only India)
  • Equity Program Management - overall management of long-term incentive program design, benchmarking, budgeting, and administration

You will be:

  • Understanding the Political, Economic, Sociological, Technological, Legal and Environmental forces at play in the market and provide thought-leadership on compensation matters including industry benchmarks and best practices.
  • Directing the implementation and administration of compensation strategies that deliver cost-effective and competitive programs to our associates.
  • Directing the design, analytics, reporting, communication, operationalization, automation, deployment and administration of all incentive compensation programs and policies including SPIFFs, M&A, and other short- term & long-term incentive programs and executive compensation
  • Leading a high-performing, talented team that manages the development, implementation, and maintenance of compensation programs.
  • Managing the annual compensation and annual open enrollment planning cycle and review process administered through Workday, including communication strategy, timeline, and tools/resources
  • Collaborating with HR Business Partners and business leaders to understand the application of compensation within their teams.
  • Analyzing market competitive pay structures that support Availity's compensation philosophy and framework, including Job Architecture, Level, and banding
  • Identifying gaps and develop recommendations to address opportunities for enhancements.
  • Ensuring alignment of incentive/reward elements with culture, strategy, and operational goals.
