We are looking for a Sr. Embedded Software Engineer to join our team! This individual will execute complete embedded software development lifecycle activities.


Responsibilities

  • Design and implement software of embedded devices and systems from requirements to production and commercial deployment.
  • Design, develop, code, test, and debug system software.
  • Review code and design.
  • Analyze and enhance efficiency, stability, and scalability of system resources.
  • Integrate and validate new product designs.
  • Support software QA and optimize I/O performance.
  • Provide post production support.
  • Interface with hardware design and development.
  • Assess third party and open source software.
  • Uphold the company's core values of Integrity, Innovation, Accountability, and Teamwork.
  • Demonstrate behavior consistent with the company's Code of Ethics and Conduct.
  • It is the responsibility of every employee to report to their manager or a member of senior management any quality problems or defects in order for corrective action to be implemented and to avoid recurrence of the problem.

Qualifications

  • BS degree in Computer Science or Engineering required.
  • 10+ years proven working experience in software engineering required.
  • 6+ years of working experience in Embedded systems development.
  • Experience in hands-on development and troubleshooting on embedded targets.
  • Solid programming experience in C or C++.
  • Proven experience in embedded systems design with preemptive, multitasking real-time operating systems.
  • Familiarity with software configuration management tools, defect tracking tools, and peer review.
  • Excellent knowledge of OS coding techniques, IP protocols, interfaces, and hardware subsystems.
  • Experience in CanBus / CanOpen.
  • Knowledge of reading schematics and data sheets for components.
  • Strong documentation and writing skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to travel when required
