SHIFT

ORE - Shift 2 ($.55) (United States of America - Oregon)

A BRIEF OVERVIEW
The Operations Technician, Sandblast, performs various operations including grinding, buffing, trimming, and chemical treatment on parts to achieve the required surface dimensions and finishes in the manufacturing process.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Perform cleaning operations of castings using various sandblast equipment per tech card.

  • Operate auto and manual cleaning and passivation line.

  • Operate laser marking equipment.

  • Perform product cleaning and visual inspection

  • Inspect and maintain blast cabinets, media, nozzles and hoses in order to ensure proper cleaning.

  • Use belting equipment for specific operations based on engineering drawings, Fiber-wheel finish and/or Satin finish.

  • Use various air and electric handheld tools for specific grinding, deburring, or detailing an area on specific parts.

  • Select, align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories and materials on machines.

  • Determine proper media to be used based on the information taken from the engineering drawings and/or the work instructions and the proper machine and machine settings.

  • Complete proper documentation as required including process routing card, salvage router and scrap forms.

  • Maintain clean and organized work area, tools and equipment.

  • Detect and report faulty equipment, defective material and any unusual conditions to the department Supervisor or Lead

  • Follow all safety rules, regulations and complete required training

  • Use a variety of tools to check dimensions including, calipers, comparators, pin gauges, measuring instruments, surface plates,

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Or Equivalent (Preferred)


EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

  • 12 months of Work History (Preferred)

  • Manufacturing Experience is a plus
