Assistant Professor - Exercise Science and Pre-Health Professions - Exercise Physiology

The Department of Exercise Science and Pre-Health Professions within the College of Arts and Sciences at Creighton University is hiring for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor to teach courses that may include human anatomy, human physiology, exercise physiology, exercise prescription, nutrition, and/or research design and statistics. The successful candidate will also be expected to develop an active, independent research program in applied or basic exercise physiology that involves undergraduates. Other responsibilities will include mentoring and advising students in the major, and providing service to the department, college, university, community, and profession. Candidates must also possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including proficiency in English.

This position is a tenure-track assistant professor appointment beginning August 2024. A Ph.D. in Exercise Physiology (or closely related field) is required. The ideal person for this role is committed to being an outstanding teacher-scholar within a primarily undergraduate institution.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop rapport quickly and effectively with a diversity of populations.
