Job Summary

This is an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Engineering or Computer Science student to gain hands on experience in a business environment. This position is responsible for executing tasks assigned by Product Engineers. This person will be expected to work 20-40 hours per week over the summer/school period with the potential to extend beyond the summer period with reduced hours.

Roles & Responsibilities

This position has responsibility for:

  • Development of tools and procedures to enhance efficiency of routine tasks and analysis
  • Modifying existing software tools
  • Ad hoc scripting
  • Data analysis to assess process capability and yield enhancement opportunities
  • Support electrical characterization to support change qualification, yield analysis and failure analysis
  • Support experiments to study product performance and capabilities, analyze test and characterization data to identify performance issues or show product meets marketing requirements.
  • Support review and disposition production lots as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications (Experience and Skills)

  • Programming experience
  • Self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to adapt to new information, detect problems, and react accordingly
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel and Word
  • Good written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of statistics
  • Experiences with lab measurement of electronic components (RF, Digital, Analog)
  • Basic knowledge of any of the following products: LNA, Switch, PA's
  • Experience with any programming language included with or similar to the following: VBA or VBScript, C, JSL, MATLAB, Windows Batch or PowerShell, Java

Education Requirements

  • Current status as student in Sophomore year or later working towards Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Systems Engineering

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.

This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.

$23.13 - $47.84 per hour
