Koch Ag & Energy Solutions (KAES) is looking for a Project Analyst who will be a primary point of contact for Cost Forecasting on large Capital Projects.

The selected candidate will be a key member of a cross site, cross functional team that has an opportunity to create significant value within the organization with curiosity of how Capital Projects are executed.

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Partner with the project team to determine a baseline budget, manage change, maintain a risk register, and demonstrate initiative to improve project outcomes to effectively Forecast.
  • As a member of one or more Project Teams, you will leverage knowledge of phase gate project processes and get the right information to the right people at the right time to make the best decisions.
  • Controlling against a competitive target so that project teams/events have industry leading results.
The Experience You Will BringRequirements:

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze trends/variances and determine root causes along with potential solutions Experience applying leading metrics to analyze variances and an understanding of how decisions will influence outcomes (cost, ROI, etc.)
  • Experience with reporting and analytics software such as Alteryx, Tableau, PowerBI, etc.
  • High School diploma with 5 years of relevant experience OR 4 year College degree
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work outside in all types of weather
  • Unassisted physical mobility around a plant
What Will Put You Ahead

  • Experience with project cost management (including forecasting, change management, WBS/CBS buildup, risk management, reporting, etc.)
  • Demonstrated experience on projects and/or turnarounds in an industrial or construction environment
  • Advanced user of data analytics and visualizations tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, PowerBI, etc.
  • Familiarity with EcoSys, Maximo, P6 or similar project portfolio or scheduling tools.
  • Ability to perform risk based contingency assessments and identify key drivers of risks
