MobilizeGreen seeks recent college graduates or graduate students (0-5 years) working in conservation and natural resources management for paid Resource Assistant internships with host partner, the USDA Forest Service. The next round of positions start June 2023 for 26, 32, or 52 weeks. Internships include projects demanding critical thinking and real-world problem solving skills. Positions are located through-out the country. The projects typically require majors (list is not exclusive) in one of the following disciplines:


  • Botany
  • Business Analyst
  • Civil Engineering
  • Communications
  • Community Outreach/Partnerships
  • Grants & Agreements
  • Forestry
  • Natural Resource Management
  • Lands/Special Uses
  • Landscape Architect
  • Partnerships
  • Public Lands Researcher
  • Tribal Liaison
  • Research - Ecologist, Forester, Economist, Social Science


The Resource Assistants Program is designed for recent graduates and new professionals to launch their natural and cultural resources careers. The RA will receive hands-on learning experience, mentorship, and coaching to complete mission-critical work while developing leadership, critical thinking, and strategic communication skills.

Benefits:


  • Weekly Stipend of $500 - $750 per week
  • $1000 per month housing stipend
  • Hands on learning and job training experience
  • Site travel stipend eligible
  • 2-year direct hiring certificate with the Forest Service (with successful completion and 960 hours)

Qualifications:


  • Bachelors degree (relevant to internship) within 0-5 years out of school.
  • Strong writing and communication skills;
  • Enthusiasm and a positive attitude;
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player;
  • Ability to pass relevant background check;
  • Availability for 26 weeks or longer;
  • US Citizenship (program requirements); and
  • Interest natural/cultural resource management.
